1951 Dodge Dash Job & Re Fit
Well, all -  another oldie up date. In today's times of oncoming cars with these new head lights your safety in a old car is times two. With old 6 volt systems the dash is getting even harder to see. So, we do up-dates to old rods so you can see. We remove all old cloth wiring and old lights with today's system of low volt LED strips. So here we go. As you can see. its in bad shape and un safe.Old tube type radioHad to use a tooth pick to pull the DODGE off. LOLThis is the finsh around the speed "O". Its a mess. wrong paint.All blasted and acid diped. and primer sealed. Ready for color. Customer wants it red.Speed "O" is all set-up with new lighting. cleaned up the face, and re greased all gearing.All ready to go out to the blasters. once I get it back I can seal it and prime it.Got it back from blasterslooks goodHand sanded smooth then sprayed with EBT coating. Well the dash is ready for install, and as you can see. It's here in my driveway now waiting for the re-fit. custom is wanting a re-fit engine with something newer & more dependable for today's times. I got him  a 240cid in line 6 to replace his flat head 6.
Now when parts are needed, he can just walk in any parts store and get what he needs.

This is the removal of the flat 6 pix's. more will be posted was I build.

Well today was a bizzy day. Pulled the engine out of the old Dodge. It was a very simple one. Thank goodness. Now the real work is going to be taking place.

Well its been a very trying job. The ford engine is much longer then the old flat head engine. And the frame on this is everywhere but where I need it to be. As I dig deeper into this thing, I'm finding more things that are not safe and will need some work.

Alot of work was done, cut the floors out for trans, made the mounts, alot of cleaning up.
At a stand still till custmer stops in.

Not a hole lot to post at this time. Been working on other jobs for other jobs up coming.
Had to remove door to cut out floor pans that were rotted out.
Customer ordered the Oil filter re loc kit. looks like its going to work out fine.
Once floor pans are done, I will be able to mount everything.
Trans safety switch came in. got it installed. Now he will have the option to add back up lights to his car.

Been working on this messed up floor pan. got to remove all the old pedels and brake system to install power brake booster & new lines. going to have to make a trans kick down system for this c4.

We ordered the oil filter re-loc kit. fittings that came with this kit will not work to our needs. So I went to John Deer for hydraulics fittings. Found just what I needed to make this work out.
Completed the auto shifter from old to new.
this is the new fittings. Cut off crimper end, and can use like this.Installed hose and seal taped. ready to install.another look.U can see how tite it fits.have to find its new home so its eazy to change out when due.this is the filter it will use now. PH3600completed shifting from old to new. Hand made it all. works smoothly. now I have to make a park lock.just odd pix.

As you can see the body mount is gone. Had to make from scratch and more body parts will too be made. More of the floor pan are made.  Made the frame mount to weld on for the off set oil filter system. Had to Index the engine mount for filter so all hoses don't pinch.

Got allot going on. Drive shaft is going to be a bit of a problem. 51 is 2.750 inch's, but the Ford is 3.000 inch's. needless to say, Its going to have to Henderson Drive Live. A special tube is going to be needed. Oiling system is done. Shifting is complete. Trans lines done. rad complete. Starting system was test. Its a GO! Did a run test for Bob today. He got to here her run open header. Made shifter lock out. It's been a very bizzy weekend. I might take day off to get out a little.

Lot of weld work on under side tonight, made lines from master to P valve, Installed from P valve to rear line. still have to do the front lines, once done I can bleed system.
